“A Day in the Life of a Prisoner” by Jerry Metcalf

I saw this article a while ago on The Marshall Project. I thought of it again when I was thinking about how different people present their days in prison/jail. I remember Metcalf saying something about how a lot of people act like imprisoned people do nothing all day, but really it’s all about keeping a schedule and staying busy. He writes, “I thought I’d share my findings with you to show you we prisoners aren’t deadbeats–our days are, in fact, incredibly full.”
