“Cracks in the Concrete: Policing Lil Wayne’s Masculinity and the Feminizing Metaphor” by Natalie Graham


This is another surprisingly academic essay–not in a scientific sense but in a jargon-y sense. There were some good things in this essay, like: “while Wayne often calls his adversaries pussies and bitches, he rarely indicates what specific behaviors reduce men to women” (804-5) and “he ironically and energetically reveals the alternative possibility of meanings for masculinity, making generalization impossible” (813).
