“Lil Wayne’s Jail Time: All Part of the Plan” by Donnell Alexander

Before reading this quick essay, I felt like the title was kind of fucked up. But it turns out that he’s really referencing the business plans that surround his time (and location) in jail. Alexander briefly discusses the fact that his label moved to NYC to be near him. He hypothesizes that he’ll be an even bigger star when he gets out.

For me, this brings to mind the moment in his journal when he brings up how much money he’s making while he’s sitting in jail.
