STRAPLESS: JOHN SINGER SARGENT AND THE FALL OF MADAME X by Deborah Davis

I read this book because a guy called me Madame X a couple weeks ago. I knew what he meant, but I also realized I didn’t really know much about her beyond the painting and the being known for using her beauty/brains to excel socially. This is a pretty good book that doesn’t just focus on her biography, but also the life of the painter and the painting itself.
