This is a cute novella that follows different visitors of the same hotel during the same night–a guy embarrassing himself at an academic conference, a couple who almost has sex but then doesn’t, a woman obsessed with one dude but in a relationship with another dude, the narrator and his wife who stay in their room and leave early in the morning, etc. It’s a lot of back and forth between stories, which all kinda revolve around hurt feelings from work/sex/life/love.
