God, Bukowski is such a scumbag lol. Love his writing tho and haven’t read his stuff in a while. The book is all about drunken, romantic affairs–dealing with girlfriends, meeting women through his writing, and generally just fucking everybody.

I love the relationship he has with Lydia. They’re so toxic and terrible. The best line of the book is, “when I was drunk and Lydia was insane we were nearly an equal match.”
