Good ass book. It’s a memoir that mostly covers Reed’s teenage years, during which he was the biggest drug dealer in Oakland. He explains pretty clearly how he made that happen and what his business philosophies were and the types of people he dealt with. Dude was also a straight hoe lol so he writes a lot about his sexual conquests too.

When he turned 20, he was sentenced to 35 years, which is when the book ends. It was published in 2010. Then in 2014, he was granted clemency by Obama after doing 26 years. Cool. Crazy. No one should be doing that much time for anything. You hear people throw around those numbers like it’s nothing, but one day is a lot. Shit is excessive and inhumane.
