SEX AND THE SINGLE GIRL by Helen Gurley Brown

This is a funny, practical book written by a woman after she got married at 37. It was first published in 1962, but a lot of the advice and lil situations still ring [mostly] true. She covers having different types of sexual affairs, hosting dinner parties, and looking good so that you feel good.

It’s important to note that this isn’t a how-to-meet-a-guy book at all. It’s about being independent, maybe never marrying, and being fine. She suggests women focus on themselves and let the rest fall into place. Wear your clothes, finish your projects, and enjoy being single.
