Oneil Bryan, better known as dancehall artist Elephant Man, has been charged with breaching the Immigration Act for failing to declare that he traveled to a country affected by COVID-19.
Last week, he returned to Jamaica from touring in Europe. He admitted to traveling to Belgium, Amsterdam, and the Netherlands in the past six weeks, but when asked about Germany (which is one of the top ten countries with the highest rates of coronavirus), he said no. This week, he was served with a summons for falsifying immigration documents.
He’s apologized since then and has been in quarantine. His court date is April 15th.
