Kinda a nice change to read poems that are about love and not love-adjacent feelings. These are pretty easy to read tho and ironically do touch on the topic of despair–it’s the feeling of the poems not being enough to truly express the love he feels.

The pieces themselves are lusty and longing. Geography and weather play important roles, as things to almost mimic during acts of love. Be like the weather constantly surrounding the earth, let the sun beat down on our backs, follow me across the country because you miss me.
