This is a fun, girly book. The art is great. That may be the best part–the dreamy scenes and sexy outfits and cute hair. The main character is Usagi, who is also, as she finds out, Sailor Moon. She’s a lazy type of student who aligns with her purpose by helping a random cat take a bandaid off its forehead. The cat turns out to be Luna, Sailor Moons’s spirit guide. From there on, she meets other girls to be a part of her group to fight off bad guys who are trying to suck energy from people. Very innocent and sweet book.

Best line: I’m the weirdo, right? I just hear the name and my heart goes racing. I’m just weird. But his hands are so warm… And when I’m in his arms… It’s like an old, familiar feeling. It feels like I’ve known him forever. -Naoko Takeuchi
