I remember when this Gossip Girl book came out in middle school. People were reading it and the school didn’t like it. Like I don’t know if the books were banned or what but they never caught my attention much. Never watched the show. I knew that it’s about rich people in New York City. Whatever.

But I was looking for something easy and fun the other day. Picked this up and yea it was exactly that. It’s basically about a teenager named Serena who comes back home from boarding school and everyone is talking shit about her–in person, online. That lore follows her around no matter how fake it is.

What’s cool is that she never clears it up lol. Like she doesn’t explain herself to anyone. She just does her thing and tries to maintain.
