This is a Haitian novel that revolves around the sex lives of both natives and visitors. Male prostitution is at the center of the story–literal sex work in which young men/teens have sex with older white women for money, but also other forms of trade like a guy having sex with a rich whitegirl his age to distract her from bothering his parents who work for her family. There is also more traditional sexual exploitation like cheating, womanizing, game-playing, and tricking going on too. A lot of messy situations and disjointed narratives that relate closely to the political history of Haiti.
